POST 25/601 : ADMINISTRATION CLERK: HRD (PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT)

SALARY : R237 453 per annum

CENTRE : George Regional Hospital

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent).

Experience: Appropriate administrative experience in a Human Resources,

Employee Relations, Human Resource Development, Employee Health and

Wellness, or office administration environment. Inherent requirements of the

job: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with sensitive

employee information. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good knowledge of

general office administration and records management practices. Sound

computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook

and PowerPoint). Good verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of

the Public Service Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment

Act, Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act and relevant departmental

policies will be an advantage. Ability to work independently and as part of a

multidisciplinary team. Good interpersonal skills with a strong customer service

orientation. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when

dealing with employee information. Ability to work under pressure, prioritise

competing tasks and meet deadlines.

DUTIES : Provide administrative support to the Employee Relations function, including

scheduling meetings, maintaining confidential records, preparing

documentation and taking minutes. Coordinate administrative activities relating

to Human Resource Development, including training administration, induction,

maintaining training records and compiling reports. Provide administrative

support for Employee Health and Wellness programmes, including

coordinating wellness activities, maintaining attendance registers, statistics

and confidential records. Maintain manual and electronic filing systems,

registers, databases and tracking tools. Prepare routine correspondence,

reports, procurement requests and meeting arrangements. Provide reception,

telephonic and administrative support to the People Management component.

Provide administrative relief support within the broader People Management

component when required.
