POST 25/602 : ADMINISTRATION CLERK: SUPPORT (REHABILITATION)

SALARY : R237 453 per annum

CENTRE : George Regional Hospital

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate or equivalent.

Experience: Appropriate administrative or clerical experience in a

multidisciplinary allied health department setting. Appropriate experience in

using health information systems. Inherent requirements of the job: Physically

able to perform frontline support functions within the rehabilitation department.

Availability to work flexible hours if necessary. Competencies

(knowledge/skills): Computer literacy (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook).

Knowledge of appointment scheduling and maintaining diaries. Knowledge of

maintaining filing systems for respective allied health departments. Good

verbal and written communication skills to facilitate communication between

multidisciplinary team members. Knowledge of supply chain processes.

Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies of the Department of Health

Western Cape.

DUTIES : Provide effective frontline service to patients, members of public, and

stakeholders within the rehabilitation department. Effectively manage

appointment diaries for the respective departments in the rehabilitation

department, including scheduling of appointments. Ensure that patient records

are managed confidentially and in accordance with health information

regulations. Maintain an efficient filing system for the respective departments

within the rehabilitation department. Ensure sufficient administrative and

consumable supplies for respective departments to ensure efficient service

delivery. Report malfunctioning therapeutic and office equipment.
