POST 25/174 : CONTROL SCIENTIFIC TECHNICIAN (PRODUCTION) GRADE A –

SALARY : R610 131 per annum, (OSD)

CENTRE : Dohne Research Station (Stutterheim)

REQUIREMENTS : Diploma (NQF 6) in Animal Science or Animal Nutrition. Six (6) years post-

qualification technical (scientific) experience within the Agricultural Sector or

Animal research environment. Compulsory registration with SACNASP as a

Certificated Natural Scientist. Technical Competencies: Programme and

project management. Scientific methodologies and models. Research and

development. Computer-aided scientific applications. Knowledge of legal

compliance. Technical report writing. Creating high performance culture.

Professional judgment. Data analysis. Policy development and analysis.

DUTIES : Oversee, develop and implement methodologies, policies, systems and

procedures. Provide strategic leadership on technical scientific matters. Lead

the coordination and development of databases, procedures and regulatory

frameworks. Manage Research and development. Manage human capital

development. Procurement for the Sub - Directorate.
