POST 25/502 : DENTAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN GRADE 1: DENTISTRY REF NO:
SALARY : R413 121 – R472 359 per annum
CENTRE : Witbank Hospital (Nkangala District)
REQUIREMENTS : Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus an appropriate qualification that allows
registration with the South African Dental Technician Council (SADTC) as
Dental Technician (2026). Grade 1: SA qualified employees: none experience
after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession (where applicable)
in respect of employees who performed Community Service as required in SA.
Foreign qualified employees: one (1) year relevant experience after registration
with the HPCSA in the relevant profession (where applicable) in respect of
employees who performed Community Service as required in SA. Experience
in Dental Laboratory Assistant will be an added advantage. Knowledge: All
dental technology disciplines. Oral anatomy and Tooth Morphology. Dental
technology equipment and materials. All shortlisted candidates shall undertake
a pre-entry practical exercise as part of the assessment method to determine
the candidate's suitability based on the post's technical and generic
requirements.
DUTIES : Fabricate clinically acceptable dental prosthesis using appropriate materials
and procedures. Carry out infection control procedures. Supervise a dental
laboratory assistant. Maintain daily production registers and submit monthly
production statistics. Comply with Continuous Professional Development
(CPD) requirements. Comply with Occupational Health and Safety standards.
