REQUIREMENTS : Grade 10 (or equivalent). Knowledge: Education Department Service Delivery

Charter (Batho Pele). Skills: Written and verbal communication in at least two

official languages of the province. Ability to operate a strapping machine. Ability

to operate a staple gun. Ability to operate a photocopy and fax machine.

Numerical skills relating to scripts and marksheets.

DUTIES : Assist with the transportation and storage of question papers. Transporting

question papers from print room to Head Office. Cleaning of strong room from

all old question papers. Make boxes with staple gun. Assist with packing

question papers in boxes. Strap boxes. Make photocopies of question papers.

Load, offload and store question papers at Head Office. Assist with the

packaging and distribution of question papers, stationery and marksheets.

Assist with counting stock during stocktaking. Sort question papers and

marksheets in subject and centre order. Pack question papers and marksheets

in centre order. Make boxes with staple gun. Strap boxes. Prepare boxes for

despatch. Pack question papers and marksheets in boxes. Assist with

collection of question papers from storage. Pack question papers in sorting

area for scanning. Arrange question papers according to list for scanning. Pack

question papers per session and seal boxes per centre. Paste way bills on

boxes. Assist with weighing of boxes. Assist with transportation of question

papers, stationery and marksheets to examination institutions. Assist with filing

of all documents including question paper checklists and way bills. Assist with

preparation of envelopes per centre per EMDC. Assist with preparation of way

bills and batches per EMDC. Assist with packing of marksheets and relevant

documentation in envelopes per centre per EMDC. Report to supervisors daily.

Assist with removal of identified practical subject marksheets. Assist with

packing practical subject marksheets for distribution to the Curriculum

Advisors. Assist with dispatching of marksheets to relevant Curriculum

Advisors. Assist with the manifesting of mark sheets and scripts. Assist with

counting stock during stocktaking. Assist with the distribution of circulars. Make

boxes with staple gun. Strap boxes. Assist with preparation of work area for

receiving and storing scripts. Assist with receiving manifested consignments of

mark sheets and scripts from couriers or individuals. Open consignments of

scripts. Separate, file and distribute accompanying documents including

seating plans, medical certificates and correspondence. Sort mark sheets and

scripts in various subjects. Pack scripts in boxes. Batch identified subjects for

pre-marking. Assist with processing loose mark sheets. Assist with processing

specialised subjects including CAT and IT. Assist with processing external

subjects including IEB. Assist with processing LSEN scripts including Braille.

Assist with boxing and filing of mark sheets and scripts. Assist with boxing and

filing of queried scripts. File attendance registers and way bills. Prepare boxed

subjects for marking including strapping and labelling. Assist with marking and

capturing processes. Assist with counting stock during stocktaking. Assist with

transport of scripts and equipment to marking centres, venues and home

markers. Prepare scripts for marking by unpacking boxes. Make boxes with

staple gun. Strap boxes. Assist with arranging meal verification system for

marking centres. Assist with preparation of marking venues including question

papers and memoranda. Assist with arrangements for specialised subject

marking. Assist with collection of scripts at marking venues and the return

thereof to the centralised mark checking team. Assist with drawing of sample

scripts for moderation. Assist with receipt, checking and distribution of marker

reports, claims and invigilator claims. Assist with processes for loose scripts,

unmarked scripts and mark checking for specialised subjects. Assist with flow

of checked scripts for mark capturing. Box captured scripts per subject. Assist

with transport of boxed scripts to Head Office and store boxed scripts in subject

order. Assist with marking centre clean-up process including cleaning rooms

and return of equipment. File and store all mark sheets. Assist with drawing

scripts for remarking. Assist with specialised projects and disposal of previous

years answer books. Render general assistance regarding training of Chief

Markers, Markers, Moderators, Mark Capturers, Centre Managers and

Invigilators. Assist with logistical arrangements for training. Assist with printing

and distribution of training manuals. Assist with processing certificates and

attendance registers.
