REQUIREMENTS : MSc degree in Animal Science or relevant qualification. Six (6) years post-
qualification natural scientific experience. Valid compulsory registration with the
South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) as a
professional Natural Scientist. Programme and project management. Technical
Competencies: Scientific methodologies and models. Research and
development. Computer-aided scientific applications. Knowledge of legal
compliance. Technical report writing. Creating a high-performance culture.
Professional judgment. Data analysis. Policy development and analysis.
Scientific presentation. Mentoring. Generic competencies: Strategic capability
and leadership. Decision making. Team leadership. Creativity. Financial
