POST 25/105 : SENIOR STATE ACCOUNTANT: FINANCE REF NO: RECRUIT 2026/246 (X2

SALARY : R413 001 per annum (Level 08), (excluding benefits)

CENTRE : Pretoria: Head Office

REQUIREMENTS : An appropriate B Degree (NQF level 7) / Three (3) year Diploma (NQF level 6)

in Financial Management or equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years’ working

experience. Requisite experience in processing payments in BAS, LOGIS and

PERSAL. In depth knowledge in processing suppliers, Travel Agency

payments and employee allowances (e.g. Travel and subsistence and cell

phone claims). Knowledge of supplier reconciliation. Demonstrable

competency in acting Independently, Professionally, Accountable and with

Credibility. In depth knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations and relevant

prescripts. Knowledge of legislation and regulations pertaining to public service

administration. Knowledge of LOGIS, PERSAL and BAS systems. Ability to

work independently and under pressure. Willingness to travel to other regional

offices. Problem solving skills. General computer literacy and knowledge of

programs in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Good communication skills, verbal

and written. Knowledge of Public Service Regulations and Performance

Management and Monitoring.

DUTIES : Authorize supplier payments and claims such as Travel and Subsistence and

cell phones. Track processed payments on the tracking system. Perform

supplier reconciliation. Maintain proper filing system of payments. Manage

donor funding. Provide support to auditors and business units. Maintain

clearing of suspense accounts. Providing reports to management. Excellent

presentation skills. Manage scanned batches. Attend to all related queries in

the unit. Supervise and train subordinates.
