Key Responsibility Areas:
• Addresses and responds to legislative issues pertaining to facilities and services.
• Assists the District Manager with establishing short, medium and long-term goals, objectives and business plans in line with the Integrated Development Plan.
• Implements job creation projects and poverty alleviation programmed in the Section.
• Develops, supports and forges communication and co-operation with the Section, Divisions and Departments in the Unit.
• Initiates and implements special projects.
• With the District Manager, interacts with community representatives, community groups and other stakeholder groups to ensure community involvement.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability with the District Manager for the financial control of the section under his or her control.
• Undertakes the general management of the Section.
• Manages the Sections Human Capital, including the management, development and control of subordinate's performance and conduct.
• Provides relief to the District Manager Parks, Leisure and Cemetries as and when required.

Essential Requirements:
• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Facilities Management or Public Administration or Public Management or any other related and equivalent qualification.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 4 years relevant experience in the local government sector of which 2 years must be at a supervisory level.
• Computer Literacy.
Preferred Requirements:
• Degree (NQF Level 7) in Facilities Management or Public Administration or Public Management or any other related and equivalent qualification.
• 5 years relevant experience in the local government sector of which 3 years must be at a supervisory level.
