• Defines and aligns the immediate, short and long term objectives/ plans associated with the Bus Services and Operations Management Department.

 • Directs the alignment and functioning of key areas contained in the Departmental structure. 

• Directs outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the Department.

 • Prepares capital/ operating estimates and controls expenditure against the approved budget allocations. 

• Prepares and/ or, comments or, implements the provisions of policies, procedures and, monitors effectiveness of systems and controls; 

• Directs the Technical Support function responsible for the design and technical performance specifications of the bus fleet.

 • Directs and controls the complex arrangements and provisions contained In the Bus Operator Contracts. 

• Manages the administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and result Indicators of the Department.

Requirements

Essential and Preferred Experience  • 8 years relevant experience at a management level of which 3 years must be at a Senior Management level. Preferred Experience  • 9 years relevant experience at a management level of which 4 years must be at a Senior Management level.  Essential Qualifications  • Must be in a possession of National Treasury MFMA minimum competency qualification (NQF Level 6) OR Must obtain a National Treasury MFMA minimum competency qualification (NQF Level 6) within 18 months of the date of appointment.,  Tertiary qualification (NQF Level 7) in Transport Management or Logistics or Supply Chain Management or in any other related and equivalent field.,  Valid motor vehicle driving license.  Preferred Qualifications  • Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in Transport Management or Logistics or Supply Chain Management or in any other related and equivalent field.
