Purpose of Job

To provide dedicated specialist capacity in financial modelling, programme analytics, reporting, performance tracking, asset management, partnership management and reporting, operational sustainability support, develop and implement community affairs undertakings in line with the CSI strategy, in support of broader business objectives.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure the team is focused and delivers on key priorities, including high-quality provision, high standards of health and safety, and efficient communication.
• Assist Programme Managers in implementing projects.
• Assist in developing departmental plans for progress and growth.
• Drive the design of BtW programmes in line with the Social Impact minimum standards..
• Ensure efficient running of the team.
• Drive training and development of the team (governance and reporting related).
• Supervise performance of duties in compliance with health and safety and legal regulations.
• Provide ongoing financial oversight of SSCT assets.
• Track asset utilization metrics and monitor governance compliance to manage risk effectively.
• Evaluate and report on asset performance to guarantee an optimal return on investment (ROI).
• Develop, maintain, and stress-test robust financial models for Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs), farming operations, Agri-hubs, and Township Industrial Hubs.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses, scenario planning, and cash flow forecasting to safeguard the BtW programme sustainability.
• Prepare high-quality, data-driven funding proposals to secure programme co-funding from current and prospective partners.
• Generate comprehensive financial and performance reports tailored to the compliance and tracking requirements of diverse funding and strategic partners.
• Design and execute structured monitoring and evaluation frameworks for BtW programmes, Agri-hubs, and Township Industrial Hubs.
• Conduct regular sustainability assessments to identify and mitigate operational bottlenecks or financial risks early.
• Measure, track, and report on socioeconomic and developmental impacts against baseline targets to ensure long-term sustainability.
• Resolve issues to minimise impact.
• Liaise with teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Develop and implement procedures and SLCs.
• Align community activities with CSI strategy at optimal cost.
• Drive recreation and hospitality initiatives.

Formal Education

• Minimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, Financial Accounting, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Preferred: Honours degree, CA(SA), CIMA, CFA, or a specialized certification in Financial Modelling / Monitoring & Evaluation.

Working Experience

• 6+ years relevant experience

Required Personal and Professional Skills

• Advanced Financial Modelling: Mastery of Excel (and potentially other financial software) to build dynamic, multi-variable forecasting models.
• Data Analytics & M&E: Strong capability to interpret complex datasets, track socio-economic impact metrics, and translate data into clear narratives.
• Technical Writing: Ability to draft compelling, professional funding proposals and executive-level performance reports.
• Asset Management: Understanding of asset optimization, utilization tracking, and financial governance principles.
• Analytical Thinking: Able to deconstruct complex business operations (like farming or industrial hubs) into clear financial drivers.
• Stakeholder Management: Comfortable interacting with corporate executives, funding partners, and local community/SMME beneficiaries alike.
• Strategic Orientation: Capable of balancing commercial business rigor with sensitive community development objectives.
• Problem Solving: Proactive in identifying financial distress in programs and proposing corrective actions.
