Job Summary
Junior Channel Specialist: Social Media, Influencer & Paid Media supports the execution, coordination, monitoring, and optimisation of social media, influencer marketing, content distribution, and paid digital media activities across the Bought, Owned, and Earned ecosystem.The role works closely with internal marketing teams, creative teams, agencies, media partners, platform representatives, and influencers to ensure campaigns are delivered efficiently, content is optimised for channel performance, and campaign objectives are achieved. The incumbent will assist in campaign planning, influencer management, social media content operations, reporting, social listening, and paid media performance analysis while contributing to integrated marketing communication initiatives.
Job Description
1. Social Media, Content, Community & Reputation Management:
- Support the planning, development, coordination, and execution of social media content across key platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube, and emerging channels.
- Coordinate, maintain, and manage social media content calendars aligned to brand, campaign, product, and business objectives.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, agencies, creatives, and content teams to ensure content is delivered according to agreed timelines and campaign requirements.
- Review content for accuracy, brand consistency, compliance, and platform best practices prior to publication.
- Schedule, publish, and manage content across social media channels using approved publishing and management tools.
- Assist in the adaptation and optimisation of content for different platforms, audiences, and campaign objectives.
- Monitor content performance and recommend content enhancements based on audience engagement, platform trends, and performance insights.
- Support real-time content management and execution during campaigns, events, sponsorships, launches, and key brand moments.
- Maintain content libraries, asset repositories, and content governance processes to ensure efficient content management and reuse.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, legal requirements, regulatory standards, and platform policies.
- Monitor and manage community engagement across all social media platforms.
- Work with relevant teams to support in customer comments, queries, and conversations in line with approved moderation guidelines, tone of voice, and service level agreements.
- Escalate customer complaints, service issues, and sensitive conversations to relevant internal stakeholders for resolution.
- Foster meaningful conversations that strengthen audience engagement, advocacy, and brand affinity
- Support the development of engagement initiatives that drive community participation and audience growth (Inclusive of promotions, on the ground initiatives, competitions)
- Monitor community health metrics, engagement trends, response times, customer satisfaction, and audience sentiment.
- Monitor social conversations, brand mentions, campaign performance, industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging topics using approved social listening tools.
- Analyse audience sentiment, conversation themes, and consumer behaviour to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Track and report on brand sentiment, share of voice, consumer perceptions, and competitor positioning.
- Work with relevant teams to generate social listening reports, dashboards, and presentations that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Monitor digital and social channels for potential reputational risks, negative sentiment, brand-related issues, and crisis situations.
- Identify, assess, and escalate reputational concerns in accordance with established governance, risk management, and escalation protocols.
- Track sentiment shifts, conversation volumes, and public reaction during high-risk incidents.
- Collaborate with internal communications, customer experience, legal, risk, and marketing teams to ensure coordinated crisis management and issue resolution.
2. Influencer Marketing Management:
- Identify, research, and screen influencers based on campaign objectives, audience relevance, brand alignment, and performance metrics.
- Assist with influencer sourcing, onboarding, contracting, and briefing processes.
- Coordinate influencer content approvals and ensure compliance with brand, regulatory, and platform requirements.
- Monitor influencer deliverables and campaign timelines.
- Track influencer campaign performance and provide post-campaign insights and recommendations.
- Maintain influencer databases, rate cards, performance records, and relationship management processes.
- Support influencer event coordination and content capture opportunities.
3. Paid Media Campaign Support:
- Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of paid media campaigns (online and offline channels) in collaboration with media agencies and platform partners.
- Assist in campaign setup validation, audience targeting reviews, creative trafficking, budget tracking, and performance monitoring.
- Work closely with agency teams to ensure campaigns are optimized against approved KPIs.
- Monitor campaign pacing and flag risks or optimization opportunities.
- Assist internal teams requiring paid media support for marketing, product, colleague, and employer branding campaigns.
4. Integrated Campaign & Project Coordination:
- Support the end-to-end implementation of integrated digital campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and agency partners to support in campaign project management co-ordination, briefing & debriefing, minutes & actions
- Assist in campaign planning sessions, status meetings, and project tracking.
- Ensure campaigns are delivered according to agreed timelines and objectives.
- Support coordination of promotional activities, launches, sponsorships campaigns
Qualifications & Skills
Technical:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media/Marketing, Paid Media or related field.
- 2-4+ years' experience in digital marketing, social media, influencer marketing, media planning, content management, or paid media.
- A strong knowledge of Facebook Business & Ads Manager, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and LinkedIn.
- Familiarity with digital Media tools (e.g. DV360, Google Ads, Search Ads)
- Understanding of Social Listening, Customer Engagement and Community Management Platforms/Tools
- Understanding of Campaign Management Platforms/Tolls
Skills:
- Experience working with agencies, brands, or media environments.
- Exposure to campaign reporting and analytics.
- Experience coordinating social media or influencer campaigns is advantageous.
- Proven experience (internship or entry-level role) in digital marketing/Media, content creation, or similar field.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles, social media platforms, and digital advertising.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
