About this role

ROLE PURPOSE:

Responsible for financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.

MAIN OUTPUTS:

Carry out monthly payroll reconciliations and identify and eliminate risk areas.
Perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.
Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensuring legal requirements compliance.
Maintains historical records by filing documents.
Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries
Responsible for assisting and signing off on the external audit where it is payroll-related
Responsible for assisting and signing off on the Internal Audit where it is payroll-related
Assist with Flash reporting and CFO Quarter and yearend reports
Manage subordinates and ensure tasks fulfilled
Assist with any other tasks assigned by the FM Payroll, ME Finance and CFO

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

B. Com Degree in Accounting/HR/Tax Law
Advantage will be CIMA studies/SAPA/SAIPA
Minimum 5 years Payroll/ Bookkeeping administration experience, with practical Payroll MIS Knowledge, within a customer-oriented service environment.
Valid SA driver's license.
Minimum 5 years Payroll/ Bookkeeping administration experience, with practical Payroll MIS Knowledge, within a customer-oriented service environment.
Continuous Self Development. Candidate must be willing to evolve.
ERP Microsoft D365 or similar. SAGE 300 Payroll Experience is non-negotiable.
