POST 27/277 : ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

SALARY : R338 106 per annum

CENTRE : Forensic Pathology Services (Head Office)

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent).

Experience: Appropriate experience in Talent Sourcing. Appropriate

experience in Personnel Administration. Appropriate PERSAL experience.

Inherent requirements of the job: Valid Code B/EB driver’s license. Will be

required to wear a uniform. Will be required to travel within the province to

provide support for talent sourcing processes. Must be willing to work overtime,

when required. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of all

prescripts/aspects of Public Service Act, i.e. Public Service Regulations (PSR)

Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of employment act, Employment Equity

Act. Planning and organising skills. Problem Solving Skills. Analytical Thinking

skills. Ability to supervise and plan. Ability to work under pressure and meet

deadlines. Ability to function independently as well as in a multi-disciplinary

team. Ability to communicate clearly and discreetly in person and writing.

Computer Literacy in at least MS Word, Ms Excel, MS Outlook and MS

PowerPoint.

DUTIES : Assist with the management of personnel provisioning which includes

establishment amendments, control and reporting. Effective and Efficient

management of talent sourcing processes. Which includes advertising,

selection, interview, finalisation of processes and transfers. Render an effective

personnel administration function. Provide an effective support function to

manager and personnel.

How to apply

No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Candidates may be subjected to a competency test. It will be expected of candidates to be available for selection interviews on a date, time and place as determined by the Department. Kindly note that excess personnel will receive preference. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment.
