POST 27/185 : DIRECTOR: HUMAN RESOURCE ADMINISTRATION REF NO:

SALARY : R1 317 384 per annum (Level 13), (all-inclusive remuneration package to be

structured in accordance with the rules of the Senior Management Services)

CENTRE : Pietermaritzburg

REQUIREMENTS : The ideal candidate must be in possession of a Bachelors Degree/ NQF Level

7 qualification in Human Resource Management field as recognised by SAQA

coupled with at least 5 years middle/senior managerial experience in a Human

Resource environment, as well as an SMS Pre-entry certificate (Nyukela) as

offered by the National School of Government (NSG) (Certificate submitted

prior to appointment) and a valid Drivers licence. Essential Knowledge, Skills

And Competencies Required: The successful candidate must have:- Sound

knowledge of the RSA Constitution; Public Service Act; Public Service

Regulations; Public Finance Management Act; Labour Relations Act;

Employee Performance and Management System; Basic Conditions of

Employment Act; Project Management Principles; Millennium development

goals; Youth development policy; National and Provincial practice notes;

DUTIES : The successful candidate will be required to manage an efficient Human

Resource Administration services within the department with the following

responsibilities: Manage and ensure the provision of recruitment, selection and

other life cycle event of employees; Manage the conditions of services and

remuneration matters of employees; Manage the human resource

management information systems; Develop policies, procedures and

strategies aimed at improving service delivery within the municipal

administration environment and Manage the resources of the Directorate.
