POST 26/199 : MANAGER: PHARMACEUTICAL SERVICES

SALARY : R1 375 245 per annum, (A portion of the package can be structured according

to the individual's personal needs).

CENTRE : Khayelitsha/Eastern Sub-structure

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Basic qualification accredited with the

South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) that allows registration with the SAPC

as a Pharmacist. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the

South African Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist. Experience: A minimum of

3 years’ appropriate experience after registration as a Pharmacist with the

SAPC. Inherent requirements of the job: Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license.

Willingness to travel in the Metro. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Strong

leadership, inclusive of management, professional mentorship, organisation

and strategic planning. Project management skills. Computer Literacy and data

use and analysis. Appropriate experience in Pharmaceutical systems used in

the public sector. Appropriate supervisory/managerial experience. Appropriate

Training and experience in Drug Supply Management.

DUTIES : Strategic planning and implementation and monitoring and evaluation of

relevant policies. Technical support to the pharmacy staff and pharmacy for

quality assurance and clinical services governance. Overall leadership and

coordination of the Pharmacy services within the Khayelitsha/ Eastern Sub-

structure. Ensure good Pharmacy practices are institutionalised in the service

platform. In-depth knowledge of the Health Act, National Drug Policy,

Pharmacy Act, World Health Organisation and relevant policies of the WCG:

Health and Wellness.
