SALARY : R201 093 – R236 877 per annum (Level 04), an all-inclusive remuneration

CENTRE : EL Museum – (Ku-Gompo City)

REQUIREMENTS : National Senior Certificate. An NQF level 6 qualification in Office Admin/

Business Admin/ Secretarial Studies in Management Assistant / Public

Administration/ will be an added advantage. No work experience required,

however, exposure in the environment will be an advantage. Knowledge:

Excellent language skills and the ability to communicate well with people at

different levels and from different backgrounds. Good telephone etiquette.

Computer literacy and being able to work with all Microsoft Applications and

the related systems. Sound organisational skills. High level of reliability.

Excellent written communication skills. Ability to act with tact and discretion.

Good grooming and presentation. Remain up to date regarding

prescripts/policies and procedures applicable to her/his work terrain. Remain

abreast with the procedures and processes that apply in the office.

DUTIES : Provide a secretarial support service to the office: Receive, screen and forward

incoming calls to correct person while taking accurate messages. Welcome

visitors, determine their needs and direct them to the appropriate staff

members. Co-ordinate appointments with the Appointments Secretary. Type

documents for the staff within the office. Operate office equipment like fax

machines and photocopiers. Provide a clerical support service to the office:

Liaise with travel agencies to make travel arrangements for the staff of the

office. Arrange meetings and events for the office. Identify venues, invite role

players, and organise refreshments. Process the travel and subsistence claims

of the staff of the office. Draft routine correspondence and reports. Handle

courier services and telephone accounts. Handle the procurement of standard

items like stationery, refreshments etc.
