About this role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full accounting function, ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

What you'll do:
  • Accounts Payable
    • Process supplier invoices accurately and timeously
    • Prepare and process supplier payments
    • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
    • Manage creditor ageing and payment schedules
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Process customer invoices and credit notes
    • Allocate customer receipts and maintain accurate records
    • Perform debtor reconciliations
    • Follow up on outstanding accounts where required
  • Banking and Cash Management
    • Process bank transactions and account allocations
    • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
    • Assist with cash flow monitoring and reporting
    • Manage foreign currency bank accounts and transactions
  • General Ledger and Journals
    • Prepare and post monthly journal entries
    • Maintain general ledger integrity and accuracy
    • Process accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and provisions
    • Perform balance sheet reconciliations
  • Financial Reporting
    • Assist with monthly management accounts
    • Support month-end and year-end close processes
    • Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Foreign Currency Management
    • Record and reconcile foreign currency transactions
    • Process exchange rate adjustments and revaluations
    • Assist with reporting on foreign currency exposures
Other Duties
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Support finance process improvements and system enhancements
  • Assist with ad hoc finance projects and reporting requirements

Preferred Experience
  • Experience within a multi-currency environment
  • NetSuite ERP experience
  • Experience working with high transaction volumes
  • Exposure to audit requirements and statutory reporting
