About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Creditors Clerk to join our finance team at Haval. In this role, you will primarily focus on managing creditor accounts and ensuring accurate financial transactions. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the efficiency of our accounts payable processes while collaborating with various departments to support our business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist in the reconciling of creditor statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of creditor accounts and ensure all payments are processed timely.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth communication regarding payment issues or queries.
- Prepare and submit payment batches in accordance with the payment schedules.
- Monitor and report on creditor aging and assist in managing cash flow projections.
- Prepare monthly reports on accounts payable activities and metrics.
- Assist in the maintenance of financial documents and contribute to audit preparations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a creditors or accounts payable role, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices relevant to creditors management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and resolving discrepancies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or business administration.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or financial management software.
- Experience in the automotive industry or a related sector.
- Knowledge of South African tax regulations and compliance requirements.
