Dealer Principal - VW Vereeniging

About the Role
As the Dealer Principal for Volkswagen Vereeniging, you will lead the dealership's operations with a strong focus on driving sales, enhancing customer satisfaction, and fostering a high-performance team culture. This role is pivotal in aligning dealership objectives with brand standards and delivering operational excellence in a competitive automotive market.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all dealership operations, including sales, service, and after-sales support, ensuring alignment with Volkswagen’s brand standards.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales and profit targets.
- Recruit, train, and manage dealership staff to create a high-performing team focused on customer service and sales excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and company policies regarding dealership operations.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Foster strong relationships with customers, ensuring exceptional customer experience and high levels of satisfaction.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reporting for the dealership.
- Collaborate with various departments to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.

Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in a leadership role within an automotive dealership environment.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and enhancing customer service delivery.
- Strong understanding of dealership operations and marketing strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Solid financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial management.
- Valid driver’s license and a clear understanding of the automotive market in South Africa.

Preferred Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in business management, automotive management, or a related field.
- Previous experience with Volkswagen or knowledge of its products and services is an advantage.
- Certification in dealership management or related automotive training will be advantageous.
