Job Description
The role is responsible for the planning, design, development and implementation of Education Programmes that provide a quality learning experience and is "fit for purpose". The role will also focus on continuous review and assessment of the OMF Education Strategy.
Key Result Areas
Operational Delivery
Manages Education Portfolio to deliver appropriate and meaningful education content for the OMF Education programmes.
Oversees the management of programme development & delivery from curriculum design to the review and sign off by stakeholders, including the Dept of Education.
Manages the development and delivery of Teacher programmes to support effective teacher development and engagement in delivering learning content.
Manages Strategic Partnerships and Stakeholders according to agreed process and standards.
Identifies collaboration and partnership opportunities for the OMF Education Portfolio.
Provide support for in-Country onboarding & solution design
Monitor, evaluate and report on Educational Programmes.
Provide advice and input on curriculum design and delivery of learning content.
People
Contribute to functional resource planning and integration.
Individually accountable for staff time, tasks, and output quality.
Manages performance.
Plans & assigns work over periods less than a year.
Finance and Governance
Complies with Finance and Risk management governances
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Education/Development Studies/Social Science/Community Development qualification/degree essential
5+ years’ Education Programme Management sector experience
Project management experience essential
Strategic management experience essential
People management experience essential
Presentation and Facilitation skills at senior level required
Ability to engage with key decision-makers and policymakers
Able to effectively conduct policy analysis
Proficiency in one or more African languages will be an added advantage
Experience in the development of Literacy and Numeracy programmes will be an added advantage
Additional Requirements
Travel to various rural, peri-urban locations (valid driver’s licence and own transport required)
