Job Description

Senior QA Test Engineer with extensive experience in Payments and Card systems, delivering quality assurance across real-time payments, digital banking, and card platforms. Strong expertise in API, UI, automation, and integration testing, with a solid understanding of ISO 20022, payment processing, and end-to-end transaction lifecycles. Experienced in Agile delivery, release testing, defect management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

KEY RESULT AREAS

End-to-End Test – Payments
Define and own testing strategy and test for:

• Real-Time Transactions (RTC, RPP)
• Debit Checks, Reversals, VAS (Value Added Services)
• Clearing & Settlement (ACH, RTGS, NPS)
• Validate workflows across initiating channels (mobile, web, POS) and backend processors (switches, gateways, schemes).

Messaging & Standards

• Validate ISO 20022 messaging: PACS, PAIN, CAMT (MX messages).

Test Execution – UI, API, Automation

• Conduct and lead testing across:
• API interfaces (REST/SOAP) for payment and card systems using Postman, Swagger
• Mobile and Web UI for payment journeys (P2P, bill payments, tap-to-pay, QR, etc.)
• Automated regression suites using Karate, Selenium, or BDD frameworks
• Drive test data design, using synthetic data where applicable, with referential integrity for linked card-payment flows.
   

Test Leadership & Delivery

• Lead testing activities across Payments and Card initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Lead daily standups, test progress reviews, triage sessions, and retrospectives.
• Actively unblock delivery impediments, from test environment issues to vendor dependencies.
• Oversee peer reviews, mentor junior testers, and promote quality-first culture.

Release & Risk Management

• Govern end-to-end release test readiness, including:
• Entry/exit criteria
• Go/No-Go recommendations
• Environment readiness
• Production validations
• Highlight risks, test gaps, and defects early, driving resolution with cross-functional teams.

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
Coordinate with:

• Product, compliance, operations, fraud, and architecture teams
• Third-party vendors (scheme partners, processors, gateway providers)
• Regulatory bodies for conformance and audits
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, Architects, Operations, Fraud, Compliance, and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery of payment solutions.
