DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The training manager will be responsible for overseeing the Regional Training of allocated Wackys stores. The role involves managing a team of highly skilled trainers and ensuring that the Standard Operating Procedures maintained. They will be responsible for:

  1. Build training structure for Wackys
  2. Conduct training sessions on preparation of foods as per our Standard Operating Procedures
  3. Ability to manage a team (20 trainers)
  4. Staff rostering
  5. Support, mentor, and upskill trainees and new employees
  6. Promote efficiency and improve skills of employees
  7. Keep attendance and training records and registers
  8. Monitor employee performance and response to training
  9. Conduct performance evaluations and identify areas of improvement
  10. Provide daily updates on training areas done daily in-stores
  11. Work within a team and drive the restaurant/take-away forward
  12. Take charge of New Store openings – supporting the teams through constant mentoring and coaching
  13. Assist the Training Department with Adhoc Training tasks and projects within Wackys
  14. Doing presentations to the target audience for all Wackys Training Modules and SOP’s
  15. Sign off Manager Trainees throughout the region
  16. Must be able to work Monday to Saturday’s 8am to 5pm, Peak days 12pm to 8pm and stay out at outlying stores for 10 days or more if there’s new store openings or giving urgent store training support. These times may change based on the needs of the business
  17. Track daily reports posted on WhatsApp groups from Manager & Skill Trainers. Raise concerns as they arise
  18. Take charge of GP & GRV training/ trouble shooting for new & existing stores.
  19. Training team roster must be posted on the training platform by latest 12pm every Saturday
  20. Full accountability of the training team within the Training manager group
  21. Coordinate for new stores staff quantities, training stores, weekly training updates and complete sign offs one week before store opening. POE must be filed

REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. Restaurant and Fast Food management experience. Minimum 10 years related Fast food/ QSR Operations and training experience required
  2. Good verbal and written communication skills
  3. Organisational and time management skills
  4. Must have strong administration skills
  5. Attention to detail
  6. Be prepared to go the extra mile
  7. MS Office experience
  8. Must be computer literate and must be able to write professional reports from time to time
  9. Must have own reliable vehicle & mobile phone
  10. Must have a valid drivers license
  11. Good GP/ COS/ GRV knowledge - essential
  12. Experienced to design, develop, implement, maintain, support or operate a particular technology or related application, product or service
  13. GAAP / MICROS experience – advantageous
  14. Must be willing to travel to sites
