Role Purpose
To support the management of foundry production operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective
manufacturing of cast components while meeting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in planning and scheduling daily production activities
• Monitor production output and ensure targets are met
• Supervise foundry staff including moulders, furnace operators, and general workers
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and inspect production processes
• Coordinate with pattern shop, melting, and finishing departments
• Assist in troubleshooting production and casting defects
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Monitor material usage and reduce waste/scrap
• Maintain production records and reports
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 Minimum - Studies in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering will be
advantageous
• 1–3 years experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of casting processes and metallurgy
• Supervisory or leadership exposure advantageous
• Computer literacy (MS Excel, production systems)
• Willingness to work shifts and extended hours if required
• Own vehicle or reliable transport
