Purpose of Job

  • To transform daily delivery and stock movement requirements (across base chemical product groups) into optimised and executable transportation and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure that all demand is planned, scheduled and executed to ensure customer experience is not compromised and to fulfil OTIFWAC.
  • To  Logically apply  the set business rules  to optimise  the tendering process of loads  as per required  loading schedules.
  • Ability to work across all Chemicals product streams.
  • Continuous execution monitoring and exercising corrective controls through dynamic re-planning and exceptions management.
  • Monitor transportation capacity periodically and ensure that short and long term constraints/limitations are flagged and addressed.
  • Utilizing the supporting LCC technologies (SAP TM) for preparing daily schedules.

Key Accountabilities

  • Offer and allocate loads to transporters as per selection Matrix.
  • Take accountability for own Logistics Cockpit.
  • Develop daily distribution schedules to ensure effective customer service and effective utilization of transport  backhaul resources.
  • Conduct dynamic rescheduling and re-planning to accommodate constant changes in market or business requirements.
  • Implementing corrective controls with the transporters to achieve schedule regardless of  changing circumstances.
  • Continuous tracking of schedule execution and adherence.
  • Decide when to override output of the scheduling tool to ensure effective execution of orders and proper utilization of scheduling technology.
  • Ensure the schedules are aligned with safety rules, business rules and scheduling    parameters.
  • Identify improvements to business and scheduling rules to ensure optimal functioning of scheduling technology.
  • Ensure the YTT (Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow) parameters are addressed daily.
  • Maximize usage and value from the  LCC software

Formal Education

3-4 years Relevant University degree

Working Experience

  • 3+ relevant years
  • Experience in SAP ERP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
