Mechanic (Bring Your Skills, Grit & Gear!)
Job Descibtion
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, repair, and inspection of agricultural equipment and machinery to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset to support both workshop and field service operations.
As part of a CASE Agency, the role will focus specifically on CASE agricultural machinery and equipment, ensuring high service standards in line with manufacturer and VKB requirements.

What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 / NQF 4
- Completed N2 — Tractor Mechanic
- 3–5 years’ experience as a mechanic
- A sharp eye for detail — precise, thorough, accurate
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems
- A mindset that always looks for ways to add value
- Clear criminal record
- A team-first attitude
What You’ll Be Doing
- Putting together spot-on quotations that match customer needs
- Servicing, repairing, and overhauling agricultural equipment (tractors, implements & more!)
- Ensure that all work sheets for services rendered, are done according to VKB’s policies and procedures
- Playing it safe: sticking to all Health & Safety rules
- Build long-term relationships with customers and suppliers
- Correctly complete all guarantee claims and claims information
- Sharing your knowledge — mentoring others and living the VKB values
- Cross-marketing awesome VKB products and promotions
- Collaborating with internal teams, suppliers and clients
- Tackling daily ad hoc tasks with a smile
