Sales Support – Role Profile
Purpose of the Role
The Sales Support & Business Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Sales Lead in driving new business opportunities, maintaining an active sales pipeline, conducting market and client research, coordinating proposals and tender submissions, and ensuring the efficient administration of the sales function.
This role combines sales administration, lead generation, market intelligence, and business development support to help grow the company's client base and strengthen existing relationships.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES
1. Sales Administration & Support
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Sales Lead.
• Maintain and update the CRM system with client information, opportunities, meeting notes, and activities.
• Track all opportunities through the sales pipeline.
• Schedule meetings, presentations, and client engagements.
• Prepare agendas and minutes where required.
• Coordinate follow-up actions after client meetings.
• Maintain proposal and presentation templates.
• Assist with preparing quotations, proposals, capability statements, and tender documentation.
• Coordinate submission of RFQs, RFPs, and tenders.
2. Business Development
• Research and identify potential new clients across target sectors.
• Generate qualified leads through market research, LinkedIn, industry databases, networking events, and referrals.
• Build and maintain a prospect database.
• Arrange introductory meetings with prospective clients.
• Support the Sales Lead in developing strategic account plans.
• Assist in preparing business development campaigns.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and repeat business with existing clients.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
3. Research & Market Intelligence
• Conduct research into organisations, developments, and upcoming projects.
• Track commercial property developments and office relocations.
• Monitor procurement portals for new opportunities.
• Research industry trends within workplace strategy, design, and construction.
• Prepare client briefing notes before meetings.
• Compile competitor analysis reports.
• Maintain a database of market intelligence.
4. Client Relationship Support
• Maintain regular communication with prospects and existing clients.
• Coordinate client check-ins and follow-up communications.
• Ensure client information remains current.
• Assist with organising client events and networking opportunities.
• Support customer satisfaction initiatives.
5. Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly reports including:
• Sales pipeline status
• New opportunities identified
• Meetings held
• Proposal submissions
• Win/loss analysis
• Lead conversion statistics
• Business development activity
• Market intelligence updates

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• 3–5 years' experience in sales support, business development, marketing coordination, or account management.
• Experience within commercial property, workplace strategy, construction, architecture, interior design, or professional services would be advantageous.
• Experience with tender submissions and proposal preparation is desirable.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Property, or a related field.
• Relevant business development or sales certifications would be advantageous.
